Invented in Mykonos in July 2014 the month before I jumped from living and managing 5 star resorts around the world for over 13 years to falling in love and jumping into a two door car with a roof top tent to go traveling for a year.

So here is the story , we had three months in Mykonos to do the planning and the finally preparation prior to departing on our Epic Journey in 2014.

I enjoyed every second of it as friends from all over came to party and visit me while Yianni had taken on a very cool but demanding F&B project in Bill & Coo Resort. So since I had spare time and nothing better to do I party like a rock star resulting to accidentally spend $30,000 of my travel budget.

So……fuelled by two fears .  1. Running of of money $$$  

                                         2.Can we do this together ?? won’t go mad or

                                            kill each other??!!

and while sitting on the balcony watching one of Mykonos sensational sunsets ,reality hit me. I think we are going to need HELP to get this trip to work .So came the invention of the STUPID PASS !!

Designed to defuse a situation of conflict and make life more fun  Simple ! Arrh yes that corporate training comes in handy even in life .

So simple rules see as above

-Get more than 4 a month and you are not allowed to make any major decisions 

-Get none in a month and you get 100 Euro bonus to spend on fun !! 

So here is the History to date ….

Some are really small but when your living in a very small space 24 / 7 and enjoy every second together they seem much MUCH bigger, believe me! Some times your just looking for ways to give a stupid pass to each other !

SOUTH AMERICA FOR 2 YEARS . DEC 2016 TILL NOW !! 

1.Greece: Yianni drove 70 km off route and towards Athens in order to pick up his Sister that was joining our adventure although she was just waiting in Kiato the next town oops 

2.Iran in Masuleck Yianni exchanged money with our local landlord who we rented the house we stayed in from and on top of that he exchanged again more thinking it was good rate …. In Iran there are two exchange rates the bank rate (official ) and the much higher black market rate ( not official ) so by exchanging in the bank rate we lost about 100 Euro.

3.India Udipour Yianni lost 5000 IDR out of his pocket , must have fallen out of car ?

4.Turkey Aivalik in Ada camping .Yianni forgot his car keys inside the tent and packed it all away. ( usually takes 25 min to pack up and a lot of sweat ) took him another 30 min to get them out .

5.Crete in Falaserna 2nd time left the Car keys in the tent …. weather was even warmer so it was Hot and harder work to undo the tent again to get them out .

6.Uruguay – Yianni forgot the broom at the campsite in MercedesIn reality we found it about three weeks later in the Magic green junk bucket in the back of the car….

7.Argentina Looking for a camp in Tigre Yianni put Wrong GPS co-ordinates,three hours later in San Miguel , the complete wrong area looking for a campsite in really bad roads, very hot down dirty tracks and no locals around to ask !!

8.Chile Iquique – Yianni didn’t fill up before we left town and we had to drive 60 KM back to get fuel … haha told him too !!

9.Ecuador Montanita – Yianni burnt and melted the kettle 

1.Budapest Rochelle was being really stupid while having a relationship insecurity melt down

2.Turkey Dalyan – Rochelle left her GOPRO on the beach but it might have been stolen also at a restaurant .??!! thats my story ha ha

3.Nepal Pokahara Rochelle broke Yianni best Prada sunglasses because she dumped the 13 kg laundry bag on his head trying to be funny as we walked to the Laundry . Oops 

4.India Udipour – Rochelle left the car unlocked as we slept in a hotel’s car park. Ouch

5.Kyrgystan Rochelle left iPad under pillow in Yurt and we had to drive 3 hours and round 180 km trip to go pick it up it was still under pillow !! Phew 

6.Crete – Driving down a windy road ,tried to put the GO Pro on the roof to film, it fell off .Yianni gave me a Stupid pass and then I flashed my boobs at him only to shock a Hunter who was further down the hill-

7.Uruguay – Left the car unlocked in Colonial del Sacramento when we went out for a walk.. also left my set of car keys inside .. OMG could have lost it all.. i mean everything …

8.Lima-Left the car unlocked in the hostel car park and we went out .

9.Boliva Santa Cruz – left my new Pajamas in the hostel bath room and only found out in the next town 10 hours drive away when i wanted to go to bed !! duh !!

Ps1.As we are sitting here in Ecuador September 2017 , 4 years later and we put this story together and Yianni tells me I printed the passes in Perth prior to coming to Mykonos and we together invented the plan in Bali as we talked about the trip with friends. 

Ps2. the same fantastic friends that came to Mykonos the helped me party like a rock star and couldn’t believe I was leaving my total princess lifestyle to do this !!! Those great Peps know who they are xxx[:]
