After a couple of hours we started loving China. The culture and the history of this part of the world are really amazing. The things that human hands can do without the use of any machine are mind blowing. We acclimatized in Kun Ming but we wanted to explore more, so we headed north.
The ancient cities of Dali and Lijiang were our next stops and although the Chinese were still having their vacation, they both proved to be really worth the visit. The temples and the fortified city walls kept our cameras busy but it was time for us to leave the cities and head to the mountains. We had to gear up in warmer clothes since we were about to have our first contact with the Himalayas.
But one picture is better than a thousand words, so have a look.
